What data we collect and why we collect

We handle all personal data according to the laws of the EU-Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG New).

Mailing Form – FOCAL stores subscriptions internally in the website FOCAL may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

• SEMI’s newsletter subscribers who have interest in activities relevant to FOCAL

Embedded Content from Other Websites – Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with third parties. If you decide to enroll in our newsletter, the registration will be stored internally in our website.

How long do we store your personal data

We will delete your personal data if the purpose of storage is no longer necessary and no statutory provision requires a retention. Statistical evaluations are made only in anonymous form.

FOCAL would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

• The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that FOCAL restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to FOCAL’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to data portability – You have the right to request that FOCAL transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
• The right to object – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where we believe we have a legitimate interest in processing it.
• The right to avoid automated decision-making – You have the right to request human intervention where we are carrying out automated decision making when processing your personal data.
