We are pleased to share that FOCAL was represented at IEEE INFOCOM 2026 in Tokyo, Japan, one of the most prestigious venues globally for communications and networking.

PhD student Mr. Lazaros Lazarou, representing the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Cyprus and the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, presented a paper in the poster session titled: “Accelerated Packet Forwarding for Quantum-Secured Communications”.

His work, closely aligned with the objectives and activities of FOCAL, marks an important step toward the practical implementation of post-quantum cryptography in current and next-generation networks, helping to advance their transition toward true quantum safety.
